Computer engineer working the whole stack between a sensor and a screen — FPGA datapaths, embedded control, and the software that ties them together.
I'm a fourth-year student at Northeastern in the combined computer engineering and computer science major, and most of what I like doing sits at the boundary where software has to meet something physical — a servo that doesn't move when you told it to, an op-amp stage that oscillates, a policy that walks in simulation and falls over anywhere else.
On co-op at Genezen I replaced a set of end-of-life sensor transmitters and rebuilt their integration into the plant's Ignition system: authenticating to the vendor's REST API, pulling live readings in Jython, and building sensor type definitions so every new unit inherited historian logging and a display without anyone configuring it by hand. It was the first time I'd owned an integration end to end, and most of the work turned out to be deciding what the data should look like before any of it moved.
Right now I'm training a simulated biped to walk, taking Fundamentals of Electronics and Computer Architecture, and looking for a full-time role starting after I graduate in May 2027.
